i was driving home and my truck ran out of gas. i put gas in it tried to start it and it wouldnt turn over batt. light came on when trying to start so replaced the batteries after cranking a bit it finally started but is running like crap it sputters and chugs along no engine light or anything whats goin on with it? any help???
i talked to a 24hr diesel shop here in mn and they said it should work itself out and i shouldnt have to bleed the system??? would there be anything else wrong if there isnt air in the lines
i ran it for like 5 mins just enough to get the tank filled up and back home i was scared to run it any longer and no i didnt prime the fuel bowl i just filled a 5 gallon can filled it up put it in the truck and tried to start it and the batt light started to flash tried jumpin it and nothing replaced the batteries and cranked more and it fired up but ran like **** so i filled it up drove it home and now im trying to figure out what to do and hope its not screwed
what year truck? your fine by all means im not say do it all the time. . . but anyways... i've run my out twice. yes i know im an idiot. . . anyways it always run like crap for awhile. oh and word of advice. . . if your run out again and you hear it running bad kill it. . .
ya i heard it but i thought i could make it the extra couple 100 yrds tp my drive way i know that now its a early 99 i dont plan on doing it again my gauge said 1/8th so it made me mad went it killed how long do i let it idle for
