OMG, I finally saw an Amarillo Edition F-350, and boy was it sweeeeeet! It looked like it had the Chrome package as well. What a gorgeous truck!!! OMG, I about drooled a puddle in my lap.
Bummer, that is a shame you couldn't get an Amarillo!! Man, the one I saw yesterday saw sooooooooooo sweet!!! It had a hard tonnneau with a wing on it. NOW, generally, I HATE trucks that have spoilers/wings on the back, but this one actually looked awesome!
Let me see what I can come up with Harley - I honestly can't recall the options that made it the Amarillo package other than that Sweet yellow.
I tell ya what though as nice as they are I love my truck so much like I've said before I wouldn't trade her for the world. Come on Suzanne, you would trade in Wolfe for a yellow truck would ya?!!!
They're not too bad at all. You can certainly pick it out in a parking lot of a billion other cars. That website is somewhat misleading to me...It claims that it's unique because it was only sold in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and California. Yet I saw one for sale at Sharp Ford on the southside of Indianapolis. But it may have been part of a dealer trade or traded in by some fool...who knows.

Well boy do I feel lucky, I have the 06 F250 Amarillo and I dont mean just the paint job like the FX model, thats just the Amarillo package, its the real thing with the Amarillo stiched into the leather seats and the gauges with Amarillo decals on them. This truck has it all and boy does it get the looks.. Best of luck to anyone looking for one..

Yep,, I did know that... but I have met a few folks that did not know that. its fun telling them... I guess that everyone just thinks of Amarillo texas of course thats how they got their name as well for the great Yellow sunsets..

thats it.............. the rims are of a different type but that looks like it,,, I love the 18 inch load E tires that come standard... the ride is smooth.. I also pull a fifth wheel camper whith mine and it hardly sags at all..
take care everyone.

thers a dealer by me that buys trucks then sends them out for aftermarket stuff and then sells them on there lot for a crazy amount of money. anyway they had an f350 amirrilo lifted with skyjacker lift rims everything to much to list it looked awesome to say the least but dam they wanted 70 grand for it
yep!!! i mean dont get me wrong it had alot of s--t on it but 70 grand come on .it had the sticker price on the window and then another price with all the ad ons nutts .and you what some one bought it i saw it around town a couple monthes ago.
I call them Armadillos just cause thats what i think of when i think of texas. They look nice though and they definitly stand out...ive seen a couple driving around town
It says the 2005 edition was only available in those states (I too saw one at my local dealer in the KCMO area) in 2005. The 2005 did not have "Amarillo" decals on the rear of the bed, they had the normal FX4 decals (if so equiped). In 2006 they had "Amarillo" decals on the rear bed where the FX4 decals are located. (atleast this is what I noticed at my dealer, no Amarillo decals in 2005, and Amarillo decals in 2006) My dealer had 3 2006 Amarillos last year. One of them they lifted about 6" and put custom 20 inch wheels with mud tires on them and a big chrome grill guard........It was sweet!!!!!!
As much as I love our trucks, bright yellow only looks good on vehicles that have the following badges on them: Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, ect... IMO
