i happened to come across some goodyear wrangler mt/rs that are 305/70-16 (33x12x16) and i have a question will they fit on my f250 without having to cut or make room for them thanks.
My 285's rubbed so bad I couldnt even make the turn to get the truck out of the shop. Had to shim the bumper out about 1", and its still pretty close to touching the tire
you know you can run a 35 on an OBS with out a lift. by buddy did it. lil bit of trimming but not as much as a guy would think. butt 33 will clear all day long
I just got my 315/75/16's on my truck today. Stock wheels and I trimmed the back edges of the bumper up to the molding. Other than rubbing the leaf springs at full lock, everything else clears.
I put 285s on my truck and I had to shim the bumper out about 2 inches and then I havd to remvoce the plastic bump stop on the front springs because they rubbed on that and made a terrible sound. But after those 2 things i didnt have a prob, still kinda tight but that was with 285's. 305's would be really tight even worse if they are wider than a 285
I've got 285-75-16's on my truck. They equate to a 33x11.5-16. I didn't do anything at all to my truck, and they clear with way more than enough room. (enough room to make me wonder if 35's will clear). But, if you're running a 33" tire that's 12" or 12.5" wide, then there might not be as much clearance.
Best of luck to all in finding the best shoes for their OBS rigs.:thumb:
Got an extra leaf spring up front, moved my bumper forward about 3/4 of an inch, just a hair of trimming and the 315x75x16's only rubbed leafs at full clock also. back down to 285's for fuel mileage lol
I HAVE 250 HD AND IT HAS TTB SETUP ALSO I HAVE 3 SPRINGS UP FRONT BUT I HAVE 35 INCH TIRES AND THEY DONT RUB A BIT
