I ordered a two gauge pillar mount setup: pyrometer, and a trans temp. I also ordered the Tru-Cool #4739 add-on trans cooler to help keep the trans temps down. All this stuff arrives tomorrow:woot:

Anyway, Now that my gauges will be hooked up, I'm ready to go with a chip. Help me choose a good chip. I just want stock, tow, and economy/mild performance. Here's a program that I've been looking at. Is it a good program? Any recommendations for other/better programs???

they tune it specifically to your truck.. like Raul said TW DP tuner PHP as well as DI make some good ones

It's a good question. Why are the highly recommended DP and TW chips called "custom"? Is it that the tuner can prepare special tunes for things like 4" exhaust, better intakes, valve bodies, and the other standard upgrades?

The custom tuner guys can also give you a quie tune for when you want the engine to get quiet like when trying to talk over the engine at a toll booth or something.

Now, that would be nice!!! I had to shut the engine off earlier at the bank today. And I hate shutting the truck down for just a minute or so, only to fire it immediately back up....

You can see a video of our Whisper Mode™HERE. I know a few other tuners offer something similar.

Just FYI, we do a lot of tuning for Bob's adrenaline pumps and work very closely with him. If you have any questions about tuning for his products, please feel free to ask.

FWIW, we feel very comfortable recommending Tony's and Matt's tuning. They're great tuners and really great people, so we don't think you'd be disappointed with either of them. :thumb: Tony's a little hard to get ahold of directly right now (through no fault of his own), but I know that Raul could get you hooked up if that's the route you'd like to take. :)
