New guy hear, just purchased my 2001 PSD and need to figure out which direction I want to go for my gauges. So my question is: for the guys that are running digital gauges i.e. Edge "monitor" or Bullydog "outlook" for your gauges instead of analog gauges how do you like it? I am only interested in the gauge aspect of these devices no the performance aspect as I will be getting a custom chip from PHP. Thanks in advance for any help.
Raul which digitals were you running cause i feel the complete opposite?
I ask because im running Cobalt digitals (switched from analog cobalts) and they are perfect, quick look and its right there no figuring out where exactly the needle is pointing and they have higher resolution my EGT is 10 degree and TRANS read in 1 degree increments and my boost is 1psi increments.
I wanted digitals mainly for ease of view (and matches my DP gauge switch), and no moving parts to fail or lose calibration over time.
The new software in the digital autometers is great they dont screw with your eyes when numbers change fast like all others, they programmed them to skip digits when readings change at fast rate. So if your cruising at 700 EGT and floor it, it can go from 700-730-800-1250 or if your cruising 700-710-720-730
The one thing i will say is they are BRIGHT at night LOL
I love mine and wont go back to analog, ill try to get some pics of them in my EX.
