OK so I bought the truck, its an 05', 6.0 of course, it is bone stock, I want to put a 6" or 8" lift on it this winter, so I would like some opinions on which way to go with things. I was thinking a Rize kit, anyone like them or have a better idea? Then should I go with a 4" or 5" exhaust? Then I have decided to go with the programmer, so which one is the best for the 6.0? Please help me out here, I want the truck to ride very well on the highway, and maybe some advice on wheels, I think I am going to try and get a set of Jesse James Lawless 8's. What kind of rubber will look good and do well in snow? Thanks for any and all info guys..... BTW truck is the Blue with ghost flames.
search, you should be able to find everything you asked. these have all been covered. but to sum it up sct for tuner, with custom tuning. lift is all preference, I personaly like fabtech, or skyjacker. either exhaust is fine, but you dont need a 5 inch, but it would work fine.
Agree with above post. A 5" exhaust is not necessary unless you are crankin CRAZY power, a 4" really doesn't do much more than just straight piping the factory 3.5. It's all in how much you want to spend. But again SCT with custom tunes is the ONLY way to do these trucks!! As far as tires, BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs are AWESOME and last pretty good with proper rotation. But there are many others out there that are good and probably cheaper! But All terrains are better in the snow than muds
Does anyone have an opinion on the Rize lift kit? I have heard good and bad on superlifts parts. Fabtech is a good system, I just want a great ride. And love their ladder bars as well...
