when i fill up i reset it then start truck and drive to get a reading. but when i am driving and reset it, it gives me a different reading. which one is right? i know you dont go by them just wondering.
It gives you a avg from the time it was reset last. If you reset it on the hiway doing say 70 and let off the pedal it will be unrealistically high mpg. This is because you are traveling and not using very much fuel. If you do it from a stop you will use more fuel to take off etc.
Just looked in owners manual and it says to get hwy average reset it while on the hwy.if that is the case then i am getting better than what i thought! so to get in town mpg do i reset it while driving around in town?
