i have a 99 7.3 psd and i went to pick up a car in Pa. this past weekend and my truck acted like it was having trouble pulling the hills! when i had the cruise on it ran up those hills like a raped ape . when i had the cruise n the check engine light would come on until i would top the hill! any input would be helpful!
while in my ranger it would do that and it was because of a cracked sparkplug. so there is probaly still something wrong with the engine. i would have it looked at if it continues to do that. i will say again never use cruise while pulling and no OD. by the way did your rpms jump going up the hills
yeah that is what my ranger did. idk a lot about deisels so when marc comes back next week ask him. i would have to say there is something wrong though
i'm not sure but my guess is that the tranny down shifted going up the hill and the truck overboosted causing the ses light to come on. how fast were you towing and how heavy was the load?
