:icon_ford:I am new to owning a Powerstroke 6.4. While away in PEI while passin g another truck the truck hesitated blew black smoke and than took off. The next with the 5ver on the truck slowing down to make right turn and than accelerating blew black smoke. The truck is stock. Is this a problem?:dunno:
My F350 smoked stock all the time. THe DPF was *not* cracked, but it still smoked like a locomotive every time you hit the gas. My F450 virtually never smokes. Even when you really hit it, it will give only the faintest bit of black smoke.
Every truck is different. Even when they are the same year, same calibration, same engine, etc. I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets worse.
I don't believe it's right but the people that have the problem often get told it's normal.
