Hi so i went to my truck this morning and noticed that there was a little puddle of diesel from my front tank. I found a little crack in the tank and was wondering what would be the best way to seal the crack for the time being untill i buy a new one. thanks for the help
I wouldnt waste time trying to seal the crack, just save up for a new one, Id get it from LMC truck. My front one is rusting out too and I replaced my rear one with one of theirs for 130
you can get gas tank repare kits at the parts and ive had good luck with them on gas tanks idk about diesel tanks. also look on ebay for a tank i got a good deal on a front tank for my truck, like $85.
I've had really good luck with the NAPA gas tank repair kits. Yes it's a half baked repair but I've probably fixed 20 tanks over the last 30 years and I've never had one leak at the patch. I've had other rust holes appear and one fell out when the strap mount rusted off but the patches never leaked.
I forget which tank you can swap for the larger 33gal bronco tank (I think its the rear) but you could probably upgrade sizes when you swap
