Gauge Looks and Placement Questions

This has more to do with looks then with actual performance, which is why I thought I would post it in this section. I'm thinking about adding 6 gauges in my truck. All are going to be autometer. 3 of which were going to be in there antique beige scheme(two reasons: 1. I think it would look good in the King Ranch interior, 2. I just like the old time look), the 3 are:voltmeter, water temp, and oil pressure. I haven't decide what series that I would use for the last three, I'm pretty sure they should have the white face(I'm up for a series suggestions), those gauges are going to be: egt, tranny temp, and boost. I'm going to use a triple a-pillar pod and a triple windshield pod, so I think they might be far enough away from each other that maybe I don't have to get as close as a match compared to if they were right next to each other(which is a good thing since there are no beige colored boost, tranny, or egt gauges). I'm toying with the notion of having the antique gauges on the a-pillar for looks and having the 3 performance gauges on the windshield(ideas on that?) Yay, nay, or anybody think I'm a lunatic for thinking this fool idea?

Sounds good to me. What color gauges are stock in a KR? If black, look at the Z series.

Well the speedo and tach. are white and the fuel, tranny, water, and oil ones are black. I don't really pay any attention to the tranny, water, and oil gauges(one I know the tranny one isn't worth anything and that just casts doubt on the other two, the boost gauge is accurate compared to my digital gauge, I just don't like the increments that it has listed and I can't judge all that well so I'm wanting to replace that one with one that has more of a display then stock). I do like the white faces a little bit more then compared to the black ones, plus the antique beige has a little bit of white in it(it's a stretch, but I'm really trying to keep those in there). I took a look at the phantom series(your right the phantom II's really look cool), but they don't have egt or boost gauges, just tranny temp. The next thing I looked at where the C2's, anybody have any experiance with that? I think I will put the antique beige ones on the a-pillar and have the egt, tranny, and boost by the rearview mirror, A. for looks, and B. I'm always looking in that mirror anyway to make sure cops don't see me going to fast so I don't think it would be hard to get into the habit of looking up there for those vitals(anybody think I should do it the other way, I'm bouncing that back and forth so I'm still up in the air about it?).

check out www.speedhut.com, you can design your own gauges and they are very easy to install. I love mine and have the bottle glass green night lighting which matches the night lighting in the instrument panel perfectly. I have the black faced white numbers w/Ford Racing Logo, black bezel, and green night lighting. Looks killer.
