Hollywood Transmissions

Anyone have any experience, or know anyone that has used this shop? I am in need of a TC and tranny rebuild and would like to keep it local.

Thanks,

Depending on the cost....check out a BTS or JW trans....you know they will work.

Thanks Cary! Certainly and if money/shipping/installation was not a concern, then $5k - $6k for a tranny shipped and installed would be the way I would go. I talked to Dave (shop owner) for a fairly extensive period, and although I don't understand a whole lot about transmissions, the process he explained seemed extremely thorough while providing the ability to customize everything (in house) based on the set-up of the truck...i.e., horsepower, tire size, etc. I suppose the other part is also supporting a local shop and if something were to happen, not having to send parts back and forth to keep my truck on the road provides peace of mind.

I know a guy who went there and it was nothing but impressed. Still loves the way it shifts and the guy test drove it with him when it was finished to make sure he liked it.
