off roading

I live in Baltimore County and was wondering if anyone had any places to go off roading. Just got my lift on my truck and myself and a buddy (has lifted jeep) want to find some mud pits to play in but seems impossible to find anywhere around here. Any ideas?

See if I got it right with attaching pictures: This was my last romp - spent time with a buddy in Waldorf back in a recently cleared forest. Just tracks and me. Nothing else was getting back to where I was. Pic's were taken on the way out.

Tires are LT305/70R16E Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock rims and stock suspension. I buried her on the first what I thought was a puddle - a wave of muddy water rose over the hood - I just kept on her and she pulled on through - went back to that hole numerous times - had a blast! Climbing hills, stock piles of dirt, trench crossings - stumps - just had a blast! We were slinging chunks of mud bigger then my mirrors! Cant imagine what fun with mudders!!!

I got it - wish we could still go there - I dont recommend the places I go - probably could be construed as illegal tresspassing - but I look for recently construction cleared plots of land mass - large acerage. That is where I turn my truck - especially if its rained within the last week.

where these pictures were taken - now there are a hundred houses built there. Kind of sad really. Too many houses in too small of a town.

I went just yesterday afternoon after church. Found a community being built - the forest was cleared - rained hard on Sat morning - found a sweet mud hole about 50' x 80' - tooled around in there for an hour! Loved it! Great stress releif!

It wasnt posted - so that was going to be my excuse if a cop arrived - but none did.

Then headed home - I took a path into the woods and it ended me on a powerline - drove that till I reached a swamp crossing - didnt chance that one! But I had a good time.

We Marylanders need to get together for a good day of muddy trail-riding fun!

Im not from Maryland but I went to my first mud bog last weekend and Now I cant wait to go back. Its like a dirt church
