Need input on no-start issue and parts finding

Hey yall, sorry I ain't been on in a while... lots of other stuff going on in my life.
Anyway, first question. I replaced the fuel filter on my truck (OBS) today, and now it won't start. It started right after I replaced it and ran for about a minute, then died and won't fire again. I removed the filter and checked the filter housing (fuel bowl?), and it seems to be flowing fine... it was full of clean looking fuel. Didn't see anything floating around in there or anything to indicate something was blocked. Replaced the filter and tried again... nothing.
Any ideas? Simply replacing the filter is pretty tough to f*ck up, but it'd be a pretty big coincidence for it to stop running after I do something with the fuel system.

Second question. Anybody have a good source for a new rear pinion yoke (Sterling 10.25 axle)? I'm supposed to be trading this truck for a rifle on Friday, so I need to get it running and find a yoke ASAP, but all of the parts stores I've checked with can't get the part here till next week or don't have it whatsoever.

Got it fixed. When I replaced the fuel filter, a little fuel spilled and must have shorted out the wires by the housing. 30amp fuse under the hood and it fired right up.
Also, the "wait to start" light did not come on when it wasn't starting.
So, if you replace the fuel filter and your "wait to start" light isn't coming on, check your fuse box.
