2007 F-350 Gauge Project
Filing this project over here in the Maintenance/Repair/Mods section of CSP, per recommendation of Jeffery (Rattlesnake18).
As those who've listened to the plan from the CSP Truck chat, I'm starting the first mod to my '07 F350 Dually XLT. I have optained a pair of Autometer GS Series Gauges, Pyrometer and Transmission Temp. I will be mounting these via a Autometer single gauge pod wedged under the A-pillar handle. (I use this handle to get into and out of the rig, as I don't have any running boards/steps). To mount both gauges I have gotten a hold of a universal set of pods to fabricate and graph onto the Autometer SD pod. Here's some pics of the start of this project and I'll be keeping this thread updated as I make progress. ![]() Current Dash: ![]() Gauges in Question: ![]() Other Parts and Pods: ![]() Updated Mock-up of the 2 Gauge Pod:

two pod? you said one on the A-pillar, where the two position goin?

The two position is getting trimmed down and mated up to the pre-shaped single. Close to a 90 deg offset to the grip/gauge center line toward the wind sheild.
Thats what I've been working on this evening. Its coming along not as smooth as I would like, but with patience it should clean up well. |

So your trying to keep your handle? If so thats a good idea

Yep, that's the plan. Thought about it for a long while. The Autometer single pod, picutred above mounts perfectly under the handle. I have to take the whole A-pillar down to get it in there though, but it looks very clean.

Keep us updated man!

That will be cool. It would have been nice if someone had made a pod to incorporate thee handle.

Yeah, that would have made this project a lot easier. I have updated the first post with a mock up of the new 2 gauge pod, and I have verified it in the cab this morning.

Damn Ben, this looks like it is going be a very cool project you got goin. I have been trying to picture it all in my head when you told us about it before. Now I see what you have been talking about. Do you have a pic of it mocked up on the actual a pillar?

Nah, I haven't taken the thing back out to mount this just yet. I took the mock-up out to the truck this morning to make absolutely sure it would fit right and I have plenty of clearance with the wind shield. I will be epoxying it together this afternoon, and getting some filler so I can clean up the lines a little where the 2 parts meet. Then it will be sprayed gray.
