new '08 super dutys

Hey ya'll,

Im thinking about getting a new 1 ton truck. Ive been a ford man my whole life but because of all the problems ive heard about on the new super dutys, ive been thinking about looking at either GMC or Dodge ..... Any insight on the new '08's is appreciated cause i would rather stay with ford....

What problems have you heard?

I have many friends with 08's that are very happy with them.

Just wondering of what you heard

the main things i've heard were: 1)problems with the radiator and 2) ford being
really picky on warranty claims on trucks w/ after market stuff done to them

lol, 1) yes, their is a supply problem with the radiator, but not a HUGE issue, just go get another one, I have had 2 guys get theirs replaced and it is fixed now

2)???? and this is any different than past trucks???? It just depends on your dealer

Believe me GM and Dodge are having their problems as well, but if you consider all the new emissions, turbo set-up, computer, the 6.4 has really had a good record for being a new engine

The radiator leaked, but they replaced that no problem. I broke the left front axle, but that was my fault. There is an annoying sqeek coming from under the bed, I think its the carrier bearing and thats about it
