LSP New Structure

Okay, this is to clarify the NEW STRUCTURE of Lone Star Powerstrokes.

I will be staying on as State Director. The State Director is there to provide support for the Assistant Directors and Historians of each Sub-Chapter/Region.

The State Director responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Assist Sub-Chapters/Regions as needed
2. Procurement of all promotional materials and distribution thereof
3. Act as liaison to vendors in the event we have a Statewide GTG

The State Director is not to be perceived as the “Boss” of the Sub-Chapter/Regions Assistant Directors and Historians. The position is in place to help with the organizational responsibilities of the State Chapter and Sub-Chapters/Regions.

We need to start the discussion on the “New Regions.” This map is to serve as a starting point only; however, I think it’s pretty good in its original form. The idea of dormant regions should not be of concern; the State will be divided up into multiple regions now, so as to not cause issues in the future.

I would like input on names for the Regions. I like “Coastal,” “Heart of Texas,” “North Texas,” “Piney Woods,” “Big Bend,” and “Panhandle.”

Personally, I think possibly the North Texas Region is a little large.

We need input on decals and possibly t-shirts. I like the idea of having the logo with the regions name under the logo. My personal preference for the shape of the new logo is an oval; this would allow us to place the region name and Lone Star Powerstrokes in a larger font (better for us older guys).

We need someone with some artwork software to help in the new design.

For the record, I have spoken to Ben regarding this and he expressed to me this idea was discussed at the meet this weekend and was agreed to.

We don’t need to make this into a larger deal than it is. This is being done so as to help the Lone Star Powerstroke Chapter grow.

Sound good and I like the names i.e. Piney woods Coastal etc. etc. Doesn't seem like your segregating the state into different pieces but more of just geographical regions. Sound good to me!

Really? I had a phone conversation with Ben and he assured me this is what was agreed to.

What are you opposed to?

We agreed to a single chapter and work on members and involvement. Any changes would be done as needed. Also new officers were to be elected since you had stepped down.

Not to be argumentative, but I sent a PM to Ben and Kevin on Saturday morning, they were both on board with it. And they are still on board with it after the meeting/GTG. I'm having a hard time making heads or tails out of the actual meeting/GTG.

As I have said repeatedly, there should be ZERO opposition to forming the multiple Regions/Sub-Chapters at this time, it' a mute point. This was the vision of LSP to begin with and will be implemented.

As far as the officers go, put some names up for nominations for your Region/Sub-Chapter and we'll get a poll going. Those officers will be Assistant Director and Historian.
