CDL for a 1 Ton in Texas as of SEP 1st!!!

I cannot verify?? I have looked everywhere online. But, when i went to renew my license. The lady behind the counter said i would need a CDL for a 1 ton truck?? In Texas as of Sept 1st 2010 Thats another $61 too!!
Can anyone here find out for sure?

i would have to call the bs card on that...... i would expect this in california where they all drive smart cars and stop at every tree to hug it but not here in the great state of texas!

anyways, i would never believe anything the stupid lady says behind the dmv counter....... they wouldnt know their head from a hole in the ground!

that sounds lika load of crap..

on edit; a tree falling across the hood of that truck would do it no harm...so i suppose you dont have to worry bout trees

I don't know for sure about the license thing, but I bet you probably don't check your oil very often.

Not in California. I had a F550 dually. The insurance cost more but not the license

I live in East and I'm calling the BS card on this also. The woman that you spoke to must have been new or senile because I've never heard of such a thing. Unless this is so new that it’s not widely known. I owned a 1 ton up until Dec 09, I could be wrong but I’m betting SHE was wrong. I would certainly look into it a bit further

By the way you’re truck is F-ing sweet!
