Mazda 3 gets shaken

...so there I am cruising at 50 in a 45 zone when this New Mazda 3 pulls into the road. He's in the right lane and really pulling hard through the gears. As soon as he gets level with me I floor it and blast off. The 3 hangs with me until I hit 70 and then I back off - he then blows on past.

...gotta love the look on his face (and the salemans)

was it a speed 3 cause they are suppose to be the fastest fwd 4cylinder in production i was torn between getting an 08 speed3 or an 03 f350 6.0. as you can tell i chose the F350

No, it was a 2010 Madza 5 hatch - don't think they have a Mazdaspeed version yet.

...if it was it would not have hesitated to spool up it's turbo and blast past.

It was fun holding him off

Mazda makes an awesome car. My brother has the regular mazda3, 2006 I think. The car is so simple and has never had a problem in over 50k. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

My wife drive a mazda 3.............we are about to trade it in or sell it and get a small midsize SUV. But i can't see one being any kind of competition for a modified diesel........

But always fun to play with them, especially when a salesman is driving.
