damn duramax's

well i was coming home from work earlier today and noticed i was being checked out by a older mustang gt v8 and a mustang 5.0 foxbody. i was minding my business and they ended up following me down a somewhat empty 2 lane road and came up next to me. Caught a light, told me his dad had a f350 with edge chip and asked if i wanted to run. i said why not, light turns green and left him in the smoke and dust. foxbody came up and said "wow thats fast for a truck" and wanted to run. We caught another light and i pulled on him as well but not as much as the gt. Well those were my first "races" ive ever had in the truck. im pretty happy with the outcome of winning against 2 modded mustangs.

Well tonight i was coming home from wally world, pickin up some rotella to do an oil change tomorrow at work and i was cruising along down the same road and i pass a duramax dually. I passed him as i was in the other lane and he comes flying by. Figured id catch up to him, so i caught up to him at around 60mph and he slows down so i slow down, and we took off and it pulled from me like i pulled on those mustangs. I wasnt sure what was done on the duramax other then some nice dually wheels and a slight lift.

anybody else dealt with a duramax on a roll?

Duramax's are pretty quick stock. I believe they are still the fastest stock diesel on the market. There is a guy I used to work with and we were messing around on the way home, and he pulled on me pretty good.

If it's EFI live tuned it's gonna go see ya later. My buddy has a EFI'd Duramax and I always lost but I finally did beat the a hole once. He was on a 88cc minibike and I was in my 02. I beat him by 3 lengths.

i use to have a duramax with the edge juice with attitude but it didnt seem near as fast as my truck now. i never went against a efi live duramax but i hear they are way fast.

two of my buddys have duramaxs and they eat my alive in the long hall that 5 speed really helps them out

New ones 05 1/2 up are 6 speed even worse they broke up 5 in to two gears ... a lot of pull
