Dodge wouldn't race me

I was cruising down the highway on my way home from running some errands. I see a nice looking white Cummins (I like all diesels, I just prefer ford ) and he's getting on the highway at the overpass I am going under, has his buddy in the passenger seat. He looks over at me and gets right next to me, I'm holdin' steady at 70mph, he speeds up to try to get in front of me, the car in front of him is going to slow and he can't make it. Has to back off. So he goes around the slow car on the right flies up and then gets in front of me guns it and smokes a little bit, so I put on the chase, catch up quickly. He's swervin in and out of traffic to stay ahead of me. I just keep right by him being smart and not swerving like an idiot to stay with him. So he's getting off the highway same place I am. I'm right behind him now, follow him through a couple lights. He keeps smokin' it from the line at the light and leavin me a black cloud. Kind of annoying. So we're coming down this hill and where the hill levels off is a stoplight with a very straight mile long stretch of road. Comin down the hill the light turns yellow, i'm in the lane next to him. I flip it into 4-hi for a boosted launch at the light. We roll up to the light, I rev it at him. He looks over and doesn't give much of any kind of sign. I didn't do a boosted launch but I got on it prety hard when the light turned green. And he took off like a grandpa, needless to say it wasn't a race I guess he didn't REALLY want to race. I hate highway racers. Swervin' in and out of traffic is just stupid. I want a real race. It was a nice truck though. It was the VP-pumped 24V. Oh well, I kind of wanted to see how it would end up.

I would never own a VP44 truck. Although, with a better lift pump, most of their problems go away.

Would've been an interesting race, but the kid in the Dodge sounds pretty stupid to me.

I know what you mean. My dad has 2 of them. A 99 and an 01. How the 99 made it 430k miles i will never know. It did take a few pumps to do it though.

I had that happen to me the other day. Guy in a Dodge wouldnt race but the Tahoe on the other side of him went for it.

Ego despises a level playing field, and will take every opportunity to win by crook, but when faced off with typically curls up and whimpers.

On a side note, yes, I do love smoked tuner with rice!
