Old dude kicked my....

Im crusin back to the shop after an install and I come to a light beside a 3.0L Cherokee Diesel. I look over and its a old dude so I figure nothings gunna happen. Well, he takes off and I decided to chase him. we got up to about 75 with me chasing and got stopped at another light. I said to him "that thing goes pretty good" his reply, "she has a little more yet", I say "lets see". Light changes green and I only had a chance to build about 5psi. pretty even start but he jumped about a length on me so my front was equal to his rear bumper. As we accelerated he continued to pull another length untill around 75-80mph when I pulled on him but we caught up to traffic at that point aside from the fact that it was approching "too fast" for a street race. I told him I was impressed and went on my way.... surprised and unsure if I should be ashamed. By the way, in my truck I had a couple sheets of mdf, large table saw, 12 sliding mitre saw and stand, compressor, several drills, sanders, planers, ladder, etc. I read those things do 15.8-16.1 stock. On a DP120R does that sound about right? 3.73 gears
