ok funny little tid bit about GM guys, I was at our auto show. I was looking at this F450 King Ranch that was sittin' there. This very attractive girl (she was family friends with the owner of the dealership) came up and was like "hey, do you drive a truck?" I told her I had a F250 4x4 diesel. She was like haha, mines bigger. She said she had an F350 dually diesel to pull her horses. So right then and there, my jaw was gaping. LoL, so i was talkin' about the powerstroke and stuff. Pretty good conversation. (OK, so here is where the funny GM guy part is) She says, "yah know, Ford guys and Dodge guys, they talk about the power of their motors and stuff like that. All I ever hear GM guys talk about is how nice their trucks ride. Geez Nancy drive a car if you're that worried about nice ride." I fell in love for a brief moment and I laughed a lot, cause my buddy bought a silverado and was like "Man, this thing rides so nice, it's like a car"

i agree it would be a closer race then most there think it would be since he does have Erics tunes in that 6.0 but i also believe if the Duramax driver gets a good launch he will be very capable of beating. when i read thru some of these threads in the Kill section i have the same thoughts, every man to his own..sometimes you wonder how true they all are!its done all in good fun. |

They arent very knowledgable on the 6.4 either. there was a bad batch of radiator sent out on the 6.4. I have never heard of many bad injecotrs either. they seemed to be very reliable and make the power so smoothly. I was at a dyno event with one on saturday and that graph was so smooth. 539 horse and 1140 ftpounds. Can't wait for the race to happen so when the chevy looses it will bring some reality to some chevy owners. If the guy with the powerstroke goes 4 wheel high revs to 2000 rpm(20 pounds of boost) that thing is going to leave the line in a hurry. Should eb 1.6-1.8 60 foot time. My lifted trcuk beat a stock height duramax with just erics tunes he was runnign some sort of tuner as well. He kept talking his duramax up until I couldnt take his nonsence anymore. He didnt say one word to me after he lost. It was to funny Last edited by jonnysteals : 03-04-2009 at 01:19 PM. |
