6.0 vs 911

Sitting at a traffic light this morning, on my way to a job with the back full of tools when up beside me pulled an absolutely beautiful new Porsche 911 Targa. Red metallic. I must have been drooling, because after a few seconds the driver saw me lusting after his ride & for some reason he seemed upset that such a low-life would dare to eyeball his car. He sneered at me & yanked it into 1st. I had a premonition he was going to "teach me a lesson" and sure enough, when the light turned green he punched it.

I was taking off semi-quick, but when he did that I floored it about the time his taillights passed my front end. Thanks to Eric, the response was immediate, and off we went. Every time his motor came on the cam, he pulled half a car-length on me, but I got it back every time he shifted. At 90, he had not pulled even 2 feet on me.

I then backed off & let him go. He turned off at the next intersection. I am not taking anything away from his beautiful ride: I still covet it! If he had run away from me, my would not need to hang her head. As it turned out, I thought she made a pretty good showing.

Now that's a cool story there! Watch it though, some people might swear you are lying!
