Killed by a Smart car!

About two weeks ago I come up to a light, and I punch it like I ALWAYS do ... and a repainted a smart car from a nice blue to a coal black. Well I get where I want in traffic, and let off the go pedal, only to see a little black & blue smart doing the buzzzzz by ... in my minds eye I can hear neeee neeee neeee neeee neeee neeee neeee neeee ...... I was laffin so hard, and I didn't have the heart to crush his little pea pickin heart, so I let him go by .... partially from pity, and partially because I got such a laff from it ....

Another kill though I did put the SMACK down on a Camaro SS with the LS1 350 chevy in it. We both gunned .... and at 90 we were still accelerating, I looked over winked at him ... dumped the rest of the pedal and left him there!

I got tangled up with a Nissan 350Z too. we stretched it up a ways, and it was a pretty dead heat .... He did catch me at 50mph, which is where the hole is in my acceleration. All in all I figured "the Big Girl" did good. I matched the 350 in braking power too. we had to come to an abrupt stop.... She handled it like a champ....

Those Smart cars are a nice idea. I thought about keeping one in the bed of the truck in case I break down somewhere. I could ditch my toolbox and spare tire and just carry around the smart car.

A lady came into my work with one of her friends who had a smart car... When i told her it was small she replied with, "it was built from a f-f-formula 500--indy 500 roll cage, its the safest vehicle you can buy" I didnt know what to say as her studder threw me off balance, but all I could think about it was a smart car vs a peterbuilt in a head on collision and the truck driver saying "what the hell was that?"

I always wonder what a smart car vs a cc dually in a 60mph head on would do. I don't get it, how in the world can these things be safe?

Think I'd carry my Harley in the bed before a smart car...
