raced a 6.0

Well me and my buddy raced tonight. My truck is in the sig. He has a 07 6.0, all stock with 35's. We both 4x4 boost launched. I was in extreme. I pulled on him off the line and at 50-60 mph was ahead by a little less then a truck length and he ended up passing me at 90mph. I was suprised that the old 7.3 did that well... I was expecting to loose.

Oh and I have reg cab, long bed/ he had crew cab short bed.

Ask him what RPM he launched at 2k is the sweet spot.

Yeah they do. I would have excepted him beating me... as long as its another powerstroke But if he had a programmer, i probably wouldnt have raced.

he said he launched at 20psi. I launched at around 12psi. I maxed out at 25 psi during that run.

I know guys...so far this thread is all 6.0 owners telling me that if he had this or that I would lose. Im fully aware, I raced because he was stock. Yes the 6.0's are faster then 7.3's. Im modded, he was stock and thats why it was even a race. Just trying to share a story.
