Killed Myself

Yup....I was driving to work last Fri. & I was on the last stretch of highway before I got onto the main interstate. There was a car riding my bumper so badly, if he was any closer, he'd be sitting with me in the front seat. It was dark out(about 6:00am) & the headlights of the car looked to be something German, like a BMW or Merc & it had looked like there were ski racks on the roof. Now, the speed limit on this stretch is 50 & I was going 60 in the high speed lane with this car behind me. The car got into the middle lane as if to pass me. I flipped the TW to Street & stomped on it, left a huge cloud of chimney & got up to 85 in the blink of an eye. Suddenly, the car jumped back into my lane & got even closer. Before I knew it, the 'ski racks' on top of the car started flashing red, strobes in the headlights were going off, & I was on my way to the breakdown lane. The 'BMW or Merc' ended up being a RI state police Charger. The trooper was PISSED & said I was screwing around with him. I swore up & down I didn't know he was a cop, & he still didn't believe me. I knew I was getting a ticket when he snatched my lic & reg out of my hand. He came back & tossed the ticket in my front seat & said 'This is a gift! I'm only giving you 10 over! Next time, when someone wants to pass you let them!!!! Don't go & hit 80 to piss them off, that's like road rage sh%#!' Needless to say, I drove like an old lady the entire rest of the way with the state trooper hawking me until I made it to the interstate. Lesson learned: if you don't want to piss off a state trooper.....DON'T do what I did!

ouch. sorry to hear that. next time let them get next to you so you can identify what kind of car it is before you smash the skinny pedal

I know, I should've been thinking. That's what I get! If my wife would've been with me, she would've said the same thing you did....except with a LOT more swear words.

It was funny until I got to work....then I told one of the guy's I work with about it & then it spread like wildfire. I'm still not hearing the end of it!

You have got to give the officer a break you were crusing at 10 over and he did nothing. Man that is funny i think if it were me i would have been laughing whene the officer got to the window.
