As much as i want to rag on it, that truck had a HARD life. Oh the stories i could tell of when the Department of Public Safety had me pulled over in it for being overloaded on a couple of occasions. Before i went to work for that company, at 33k miles it had to have a new Allison. When it went out, the dealer put it on the lift and had to call my boss because it was too heavy for the lift to pick up. Every Oct it had to have a new set of injectors and it was an electric nightmare. My uncles 03 5500 rollback went back to the dealer 16 times 1 1/2 years and one of his partners had bought 4 of them with all of them needing new motors at the 150k mile mark. All the 2500 and 3500 D/Maxs i have been around have been good trucks, the 5500's have been nothing but junk!
