Newer GT

I was at a light and a white (looked completely stock) mustang gt was next to me. I jumped the truck forward a lil and no response so I was thinkin he is not down and then the light goes green and he takes off so I go and he is prolly 3 lengths on me and he never pulled any farther than that and then he turned so didnt get to do a real race
I have not seen any threads with anyone racing a new gt. So figured I would post but the thing is I dont know if he really got on it? The reason I say this is because I didnt even have my Xtreme street file loaded just the aggressive street so ????

Should have been very close. I hung with a svt gt from a stop to maybe 100 or so. He lifted, but I wasn't gaining anything.

I've got to ask...what exactly is a SVT GT??? Any of he SVT Cobras from 96-02 will be close if not a little slower than a tuned 6.0 if they are in stock form. The newer model stangs are about the same in power as them so I would say about the same for them also. The only ones I'd be concerned with are the 03-04 cobra's but then again if the driver sucks...I know of one that got beat by a stock 00 eclipse gt

I had heard but didnt know if it was true that the new gt's had more power and yea I know about the 03-04 svt cause they are s/c! I love that whine they give off

The one I ran with was S/C. He's a cop too, come to find out. Are some of the newer body style SVT's not super charged?

I can't find a dang picture of the style mustang I ran against. It was skirted all around, tall wing match painted (same height as top of car) Red car with typical white stripes over top and on the wing. SVT badge and a couple other badges on the back. Anybody know what it was? I'll watch for him around town and see if I can get some info out of him. He seems like a cool guy.

The only 05+ SVT is the GT500(500hp). 03-04 SVT's are S/C(390hp). All previous SVT's back to 96 are not(305hp IIRC).

Alot of guys like to stick the SVT badges on their cars The only mustang that came stock with a wing that tall was the 2000 Cobra R and I highly doubt it was one.

Only thing I can think of that has a big wing on it is a cobra R and i doubt you raced one of these but it is not supercharged it has the big 5.4 in it
