Punks in a Celica
OK, so tonite as I was leaving the muffler shop, I took a left in to the suicide lane and waited for an openning to merge into. I see a nice gap behind a Subaru that was coming up from behind so I hit the loud pedal and merged in. Oops!
I didn't see the Celica (with a big plastic hood scoop) that was moving into that same spot from the right lane. I let off and slid in behind them. The two 18 year olders sent me every hand gesture in the book and that's not very nice. I flipped the Upfitter Switch for the PIAA 580's on my bar and now could easily see thier silhouettes on the back of the Subaru. The road is now two lanes and moderate traffic and I know there are stoplights ahead. At the light, they moved to the Left turn lane and I stayed in the middle. I was a couple of carlengths ahead of them when the left turn lane got the green light. I shifted my auto into 3 (to bog the motor down) and matted the gas, pooring soot into thier open window. He stopped next to me and smacked his fist like he was going to beat my @$$. I rolled my window down and asked him if he really had anything to say to me, and he just tore off.

Now now....My Mom used to have a '92 Celica GT. It was pretty bad A. Not the fastest FWD car on the planet but fun to drive and looked good. That little 2.2L 4 Banger was nice infront of the 5spd manual. Got me around town when the ol' '79 3/4 Ton Dodge was busted back 10 years ago. AND it got a lot better mileage than my 360 4 spd in the Dodge! The first time I went over 100 MPH was in that car w/ me behind the wheel. Come to think about it, the fastest I've ever been was in that car, 130 mph.

Say what you want, bone stock, it was a pretty nice ride. Also, if you can get your hands on one of the 85 Celica GT-4's that were sent here to America, that is the ONE to get. Turboed all time 4WD. They take mods pretty well too. I'm not a fan of the newer ones with the four headlights. I liked the 89-92 models with the flip up lights. Though, reguardless of the car, if an idiot is the driver, he/she deserves a face full of soot! |

True they're pretty fun, I dated a girl that had a GT-S. Buuuut, my Mustang has devoured its fair share of them. (I had to, they kept comparing them to jets in their ads).
