The allison will only handle around 90 hp over stock. But still the d-max is a quick truck. It will come down to who is the better driver and who is willing to beat there truck more.

i use to have a 02 dmax with the edge juice with attitude. it wasnt all that and yes the tranny did shift funny. went into limp mode a couple times. if he put a ppe on it, i bet that truck would fly if the trans held up.

You will tear him up!!! If he had EFI or PPE tuning then you would be SOL....but its banks 6gun junk!! Let us know how badly you beat him!

ppe is a tuner for chebby's and there suppose to be the chit. let us know if it goes down.

there both great but i would say the efi live. i believe you can do your own programming with that one on your pc or laptop.
