Nice kill on the Dodge! I have run against a few mildly modded Dodges and have won, but my days are numbered. There's one in Reno turning high 12's on 37"s. I think I will lose that one.

this is the levels of a smarty.
those are the standard smarty levels, the tnt program starts at 100hp and goes up to 230hp. the tnt/r program is a little more

That's where the V8 has an advantage, staying at or above peak power longer than a higher HP truck will usually mean a win for the V8. The 600hp Cummins might only be at 600hp for a couple hundred rpm, and maybe only over 500 for a few hundred more. If you're making 500-550hp for say an extra 500 revs then you're likely going to pull out the win.
But don't let that fool you into thinking it represents v8 superiority....
