Killed a Banks Powered F350 in AZ
LOL. OK, this is kind of a bad story but I was pretty impressed by this truck. I'm just starting out on my trip to phoenix on Sunday and am leaving Sierra Vista, AZ and I hit a light on the by-pass. Behind me the whole time was a big, white F350 dually that pulled along side of me at the light. The light turns green and I wound her up through the gears up to about 5,000 rpm before shifting real slow and methodical. Everytime I would shift, the big F350 would gain on me just a little until I finally let off and let him go on.
He's ahead of me now and we're about to hop onto HWY 92 to make our way towards INT 10. Here the speed limit is 65 so I'm not so afraid of opening it up and little bit. He makes the turn and then I do the same and I start to come up behind him when I see coal just billowing out his tail pipe telling me he's really getting on it. I said f*ck it and opened it up. As I pass him, I can hear his exhaust and turbo over mine (and I'm on the left side!) and see the Banks Power sticker and I gave him a thumbs up. I think he saw my car and assumed ricer with no power as most people have no idea what kind of car it is. But I was totally impressed with the way that big dually pulled. On this day there was no way it was going to hang with a 12-second grocery getter but I can see that truck giving other cars a run for their money. To whoever owns the rig, nice run. |
