Now as far as which is better, propane or nitrous...nitrous is. Ive NEVER seen propane add 400hp. You cant get the same power from propane as you can with nitrous. To a point, yea, but you get higher doses you wont. My chemistry is a little (ok, ALOT) rusty...

Look at it this way: if propane was better, well then Gale Banks would be spraying a whole crap-load in his S10 dragster. But he isnt. Hes spraying a crap-load of nitrous...
For Street driving propane is way better. I can never keep my Nos tank full. And its amazing how fast you can drain it. And $70 a pop. You can do $300 worth in a week, I did when i first installed it.

Depending on who you ask, anywhere between 550-650hp on a stock bottom end. But anymore, theres guys, one of which works at PPE, that have a hot tune, trans, and lift pump and are putting 650+ to the tires. Others are chunking earlier.

If hes on a stock trans, your gonna win most likely. 99% chance he doesnt have a real good tune on it. The 275 tune is the one thats putting over 500 at the tires right? Im assuming your gonna DPF delete or have already?

Mmmm, yea, I guess I could probably see a smaller amount on the street. But as far as power-potential, nitrous wins. I mean, technically, with mods, you COULD use a 250-400+ shot of N2O on the street

most of us with EFI make our own tunes, although a few to rely on others for help. One DMAX I know made over 900hp on stock internals, he recently windowed the block though, lasted probably a little over a year above 700 hp. Mines probably +/- 600-625 hp and doing fine, just clicked over 100K miles too.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Spatan tunes, if the Dmax is running around on 35" tires and a stock transmission, he doesnt stand a chance, IMO

If the d-max has a stock trans there is no way he will beat you. But if he has a suncoast you might want to watch out. I have watched an 07 d-max go 12.95 on stock trans all motor. Granted it only did it twice before it left trany parts on the track.

Depends on who is tuning his truck for him, but with a stock trans its pretty tough to get a stock Alli to hold up to big power. If your truck puts 500hp down you will beat him.

I see the new trucks are putting down big numbers now!!!
