Keep in mind you are driving a 96 with light mods. Have you driven a 6.0 to compare to the maxpad. What year is the maxpad. I bet if you did the mods you want to you would be happy with youre truck.

And ya can't say that you don't want a 6.0 because of head gasket failure because my buddy just had to replace his blown head gaskets on his 05 STOCK duramax with 103,000 on it.22 hours of labor and $260 bucks and he is a licensed diesel mechanic.Dealership wanted $4000 to do the repair since it was 3,000 miles out of warrenty

Nothing studs cant prevent.

ARP's studs reccomend to torque them to something like 235ft/tq on 6.0's when stock is like 85 ft/tq + 1/4 turn....

hey guys can you tell me what a duramax is? but seriously just a farm truck keep the ford throw some injectors in it and you'll be like f a duramax. in my old 95' with stage 1's and a weak stock turbo i was able to hang with an efi live tuned duraSH** so they aint that hot except when you compare it to a lightly modded obs

Duramax is a great motor. My buddy beats his truck and it's still running strong. 50K miles of high power tunes and 5 or 6 sets of tires and still strong. My truck 63K miles and ABS sensors, few trannys, oil leaks, busted EGR, poor mileage.
