On chevy diesels. Let's compare the 6.5L and 6.2L with the 7.3L ford they were built to compete with. The Duramax compared with a 7.3 is like comparing a Corvette with a Ford Mustang II. The 7.3 smoked Chevy when the 6.5 was out, and now the 6.4 fords are walking all over the Duramax.

Let's stop making lame jokes with brand names. Duramax should be enough of an insult.

You're pretty far off man, might want to do a little research to back your statements.

if comparing the 6.5 to the 7.3 then yes i would take a 7.3 anyday or a 12V cummins but lets remember the 7.3 was produced in 03 and the Duramax's came out in 01 so we are allowed to compared them
i'm guessing thats why Ford switched to the 6.0 since they realized the 7.3 wouldn't compete with the Duramax, maybe not.just thinking outloud

Didnt i just hear you talking the other day saying that the 6.5 was more powerful than the 7.3? pretty sure I did.

Obviously I am a powerstroke guy, but as far as the duramax being an insult? I think not. they are pretty serious trucks even stock.

Let's make sure we remember what we prebiously said before putting our foot in our mouths. yes?

side note
i respect any PSD that out does a Duramax, something you can be very proud ofi mean that as a compliment

I like the way you carry yourself on this website

We have have 2 dmax work trucks, I pull larger fw's around 12K or so, They do pretty good, But both went to the shop for front end work.
On a different note, They are powerful and quick when stock
