It's always the 6.0 owners who have been lucky enough to be issue free that say "the 6.0 is reliable" or "it's not that bad" It is no secret and no lie that the 6.0 was not one of the most desirable motors ever put under the hood of a pickup.
Tell them something other than a owner biased opinion that proves it is a better motor than a Duramax or a Cummins, or even a 7.3.

You want speed? get something other than a 3/4 ton truck. I don't understand some people's logic. Yea, a duramax will run circles around my 7.3, I don't stand a chance. But let me go hop on my gsxr and I will beat your top speed while I'm in second gear. I bought my truck to work, and run over sh it. Buying that big of a truck to make a good pass just doesn't make sense to me.

I cant remember what magazine it was but about a year ago I read that it was actually less than 15% of 6.0s sold that were having problems.

One thing you all have to remember is that there are more fords on the road then chevys and dodges combined.

It still does not take away from the fact that the 6.0 has been a problematic engine for many, no matter how few or how many. You don't see Dodge going to court with Cummins, or GM fighting Isuzu over a much higher than normal rate of recalls and warranty work.

Intelligent, comparing a bike to an 7500lb truck. Apples to Oranges?

wow i read all 12 pages and all i have to say is, the chebbies are quick but they weigh a lot less than a ford for multiple reasons. my sicko, hahaha, has never let me down, it has 50k on it and i run the heck out of it and now with my sct its a whole new truck. i give credit where its due and the duracraps are quick but when i was researching buying a new truck the chevys had the most issues of the big 3 and i looked it up for months on every forum i could find and edmunds and such. i loooooove my 6.0 and i would never trade it for anything else except to put a cummins in it or maybe a CAT!

Stroker that was my point, why buy a 7500lb truck if you are just looking to race?
