smoked an 08

my buddy was in town from the weekend, down from baylor. he has an 08 f250 king ranch, same setup as mine (cc/sb) except his is fx4 and mine is 2wd. and of course, he has the 6.4 (all stock, dpf and everything intact). i was always really impressed with the snap his truck had but hadn't had a chance to test my truck next to his since i put everything on it (stock he would smoke me every time, no contest). off the line he got the jump from the 4hi launch but after 10-15ft my tires caught and i was like "peace!" we then did 30-60 and i left him pretty good. i was surprised to find how little it took to be faster than an 08 (intake, exhaust, chip)

also, has anyone found that gauges are like a ricer magnet?? especially at night, when they're all lit up.. the weather is perfect here lately and i've been going windows down a lot at night, enjoying the cool air. it seems once people notice my gauges they get a lot more "racier" with me...

i haven't tried going against an 08 but when i was driving one it felts like my 02 in 140 agressive from dp.

and with my gauges i haven't had anyone looking for a race.

a few mods and the 08 comes alive. like a fox body mustand with 3.73 gears.
