sneaky cops!
So im leaving home this morning, off to work. I live in the country and well even before, if you saw a cop and were going over the speed limit chances are he could care less.
Anyway on this particular street the limit used to be 40 since id moved out there. just this past couple of years or so they dropped it to 30. Anyway so i come over a little hill doing about 45 and off i the distance i see lights go on. CRAP! so as i come up to a couple of biker cops hiding under a freakin tree i pull over. it goes from bad to worse, i had forgotten my wallet at my office the night before! So i show em my insurance and he starts interogating me. He asks if i know my DL # and i give it to him but then says, "nah, it might be wrong" So im busted for doing 48/30, and no proof of DL, ] but get this i checked the ticket again and he wrote down I displayed no insurance and that there was heavy traffic! there wasnt a car for a mile in front or behind! |

That means you can argue it in court. Might get the ticket thrown out since the officer lied.

I say fight it! Oh and can you film the road at the same time tomorrow morning showing the HEAVY Traffic?

I'm glad I haven't had any liars for cops. I always get a ticket for what I'm caught doing

What road was it on?

take it to court with pictures of the road at that time of day to show there is no traffic. need to use a film camera as digital pix are most often thrown out to easy to tweak. And don't tell the judge you were going 48 just say you drive that road everyday and have for years and that you dont speed. I think you have about a 75% change of getting it dismissed cause of the errors the officer made. Good luck.
Since i started going to court on tickets i have yet to pay a fine and that was back in 84. I get one ticket per year on average. The courts tend to be lenient as long as you are not in there face and you are polite and respectful. Just stick to facts and say nothing that isn't necessary. |

Thanx guys, If i didnt have to go in to dispute anythng id prolly just pay the fine for speeding but i guess i HAVE to dispute my DL and the insurance issue. Im definately going to bring up the facts thugh, How he asked for my DL #, lied about the amount of traffic, and lied about my insurance.

Just so you get an idea of how rural, each lot is about 5-10 acres. Some more..... |
