12vcummins VS civic AND acura RSX

my buddy dave just got a 95 cummins with a 5 speed stick, its got the usual intake , exhaust and a #4 fuel plate. Im nto a hgue fan of the dodges but this thing hauled. so he let me take it for a ride and on our way back up a hill with a lot of stoplights on it we came across a kid with a supercharged civic and a turboed acura rsx. i was in the left lane they were both in the right. so the light turned green and i notcied that they were both racing each other and ive seen them around town i know that their buddies. so i got on it a little so the civic and rsx pulled ahead a little bit, little did they know that 3rd gear in that truck is an animal. i threw it in 3rd and stomped on it, both their windows were down so i blew by them and filled their cars up wtih smoke thanks to the #4 fuel plate and a little tweakin of the injector pump. they both pulled up to me at the next light and gave me the finger and i felt like a badass even though it wasnt me truck

always cool to blow smoke in a ricer even if it is a dodge.

Are you sure they were racing or just revving out first and 2nd gear? lol...

At least you blew smoke at them lol...

A 12v with a turned up pump and fuel plate did that? Even with that it takes a lot to make those things fast.....I mean i'm a Dodge guy but a supercharged and turbo'd car losing to a "turned up" 12v i'd have to see to believe

I was thinking the same thing, I figured a few more mechanical goodies would be needed, especially with a 5spd

I dont care if you beat em in a soap box racer, get some little smoke bombs, light a fuse and throw em in thier window on the way down the hill.

My buddy has a few small mods on his 96' Ram 3500 12v (5" straight pipe, modded pumps, intake, injectors) and that thing pulls like a darn freight train when you roll into it hard

If you just stomp it in anything lower then 3 gear it wil just start frying the tires off!

Hes never drag raced it though so i have no clue how "fast" it actually is

it was not a slow truck, my other buddy has a 97 12v but its automatic, and its a dog and a hell of alot slower than the 5 speed, but who know smaybe hes got more to it than just that but thats all i know of, im sure he would have told me everything hes got in her though.
