Killed Ram 1500 HEMI

So my buddy has this Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI that he swears is fast. He was so determined to race me, that I made him believe months ago that I was actually going to race him (knowing I would destroy him). So since he got all excited, he went out and bought a nitrous kit just try and even the playing field (in his head). After I filled his head with the thought of racing, and even got him to buy and install nos, I decided it would be more fun to not race him at that point and let the anticipation of him not ever knowing whether or not he could beat me. So for months I have entertained his feeble threats of how he could beat me in a 1/4 mile but not and 1/8th, etc etc etc. The last time I spoke to him, his nos bottle was empty from driving around playing with it. So I figured I would beat him so bad that he wouldn't even entertain the thought of filling it. Little did I know, he secretly filled it last week, knowing I was close to giving in to the race. So we lined up last night, and I dropped it into 4x4, and launched boosted at 10psi give or take. Needless to say I was about 3-4 car lengths ahead of him the entire time (he says two car lengths, I'm being nice and saying 3-4). Not satisfied with the first spanking, he requested a second one. Well I gave it to him. His words after the race were "damn man, I'm impressed. Your truck has a sick launch".

Nice kill for sure.
But you guys really like to live on the edge eh? Street racing after a "few" beers? That would be a loss of vehicle, loss of license, thousands of dollars in fines, and possible criminal charges as well.

Yeah...nice kill, but I would have left the "few beers" part out of the story.

Well I'm a grown man so I feel like I'm able to determine for myself if I can operate a vehicle safely after a few beers over the course of a few hours.

nice kill for sure! the dodge gassers are just dogs! and people need to remember you can still blow a .08 and be fine meaning you may be able to have a few beers, depending on the person and their tolerance. one beer doesnt mean drunk driving or driving under the influence...

Yeah well this poor ASSumption right here that I was intoxicated is what started the whole lecture. If I was intoxicated I wouldn't be racing or posting about it on a forum. But thanks for ASSuming that and posting it up right away. Make sure you don't ever have a beer and go drive since you ASSume that having a beer or two could lead up to all the penalties listed above.

.05 is trouble here and .08 is criminal
I never insinuated that you were drunk Bud. Relax
And street racing is just as big a deal - big fines and possible criminal charges

Do I take the occasional race - hell ya I do
Do I have a beer after work and drive home - yup

Just sayin anyways, I think you took that "lecture" way too seriously
