faster, but not crazier

I was coming home from work a little while ago, as i was getting off the turnpike looping around to head into town i started pulling up through the gears & jumped into the passing lane to get around the slowpokes in front of me
Now the fast lane is only a few hundred yards long at this point before it drops to a two lane blacktop

As i'm coming hard into boost I'm just about past the last vehicle in the slow lane which happens to be a very pretty new looking red dodge pickup.
About the time it registers to me that this is a dodge which means that is probaly a Cummins emblem on the front fender right outside my passenger window, i realize he's jumped on the throttle hard!

So now we're racing at the end of the freaking passing lane with him gaining and I instantly get pissed off & mat it for everything the old 7.3 got in her

I'm turning about 3300 rpm in 4th as the passing lane closes the rest of the way and he still hasn't got beyond dead beside me BUT at this point I'm actually driving with my drivers side tires up on the concrete median still wide open so i just start merging over towards him till he finally decides to back off before his pretty Dooge truck gets F-250 pinstriping

If only I had my injectors & chip then

That is the way to do it. Either he is going to have to eat a little bit of your paint or he is going to have to look at your tail gate for a while, that choice was up to him, oh well

I would of stayed in it. It is irritating when people speed up like that for fear of having to follow someone! He probably would have slowed down to under the speed limit had you let off and got behind him. That is the way people are!
