Killed a 2001 Dodge

Ram 1500 lifted w/ 33's, and v8.

We took off from a light and I built boost and I left him from the line and put about 3 car lengths between us by the time we were at 50. He squeeled tires for about 15 feet.

We lined up side by side on a 2lane 1/4 stretch. We were about to go and cars started coming from behind and he took off... I looked back, there were cars about 200 yards back so I took off... he had about 4 lengths on me and all I did was hit the goooo pedal. Once that turbo lit I caught him, let off slightly and then punched it again when he shifted into 4th (I thought he was going to let off) but he didn't. So I got infront of him and then go over in his lane. His truck is pretty fast tho, I think the tires measure almost 34 inches tall, and he's on stock gears with a 5 spd. He's got a hypertech chip, k&n intake, and exhaust. I've just got intake/exhaust. His truck also weighs like 5,000lbs and mine weighs upwards of 8,000 and I had just filled up to (30 gallons)! lol I know it's not that good of a kill but figured I'd post it up.

The funny thing is STOCK his truck runs mid 16's. He has 34" tires (1 inch taller then mine) a hypertech chip, and is ALOT lighter... I definately got him by at least a second in less then 0-50mph. Mine's not chipped... I'm kinda wondering what it'd run in the 1/4... I thought a CC like mine stock runs 17's...

I'd like to say that your truck should be in range of 16.9'- 17.5's. Just from what i have seen down at the track. It's amazing how many trucks go out and drag on open drag night nowadays!

I asked him tonight and he said he beats stock trucks like his even w/ the lift and bigger tires b/c of his chip, fuel additive crap, intake/exhaust.

I guess after I chip it and do a few other mods, I'll be takin' er down to the track to air it out... I'm aiming for high 14's...
