Raced a 6.0

Well I raced a 6.0 with the ol' 7.3 last night. My buddy was following my in his 2007 f-250 crew cab, 4x4, short bed. I was in my 1995 f-250 reg cab, long bed, 4x4. His truck is completely stock and I have the mods in my sig. We both had 4-wheelers in the bed (i had a raptor 700, he had a yfz450) At a stop sign out in the country he pulled up beside me and we were ready to run em. We both boosted lightly in 2wd, right off the line he pulled on me a little bit but when my turbo finally lit i started to gain some. I slowly nosed ahead of him and then it stayed pretty consistant and his front bumber was at my drivers door when i looked down and saw my speedo just over 80 mph and I let off. I was very pleased because I told him before hand I expected to get whooped. The 6.0's are alot faster than the 7.3 even with his being stock. We plan to race again when we are unloaded and can get better launches.

Yeah I plan on getting a wildman chip but I want to wait till after I get stage 1 injectors so I dont have to send it back to get reburnt for them.

he wont do anything to his cause his dad bought it for him new when he was 16 (were 17 now) for $52,000 and wont let him mod it. I wouldnt agrue with the old man either if he bought me a truck, let alone a Powerstroke, let alone a 2007 fully loaded lol

we always give him a hard time about dad buying a $52,000 truck and keeping it stock. I would of went for a mint $25000-30000 7.3 and put the other $20000-25000 in mods. now that would be a bad truck!

they have money to play around with too. Both the Raptor 700 and the yfz450 were his. They sit next to an Outlander 800, Brute Force 650, Grizzley 450, and 3 ttr125 dirt bikes. The sister drives a 2006 BMW, The dad has several PSD's (many for the company he owns) The cool part his though that they are all real down to earth and dont act like they have money (besides all the new toys) but I really think they just like their toys and dont do it just to show how much $$$$ they have.
