My Roommate's new Si vs Silly ricer kids at the mall...

So, Thursday night, the roommate and I roll to the mall in his '06 Civic Si to get a few things and grab a bite to eat. We park near the back of the parking lot at COlumbia Mall and head in. As we are walking in, some High School kids are sitting on the hoods of their late-90's Accords with cut springs and fart cans. They give a little drooling glance at the Si and we go on our way. We get our stuff and a few slices of pizza and get ready to leave. As we are making our way to the car, the kids are getting a talking to from Mall Security assumingly about malingering in the parking lot. Also, an 80's Camaro has joined them. We get to the car as we notice the kids starting their cars and Security leaving. As if on purpose, we are leaving the mall right behind the two Accords and the Camaro is behind us. We get onto a street leaving the mall and the Accords take off. Joel (the roommate) says, "Ditty, hold on!" and he punches it. We FLY by the Accords and get to the next light about 5 seconds before they do. As we are sitting in traffic, one of the Accords pulls up and starts revving. There are about 3 cars infront of us and we know that there is NOT going to be any point-proving at this light, but the ricers don't get it. Both of the accords rev up and spin the tires a little and the camaro is behind us flashing the lights. My window is about 1/2 cracked and I say to the accord next to us, "You guys are still wanting more?" The kid askes what is been done to the Si and I say, "Nothing, all stock save for the wheels." (Which is true). He can't believe it. I give a little wink to his g/f as the light changes and we are gone. Joel, knowing that these kids have NOTHING on him, drives like a regular guy. Still, they can't get passed, the cars in front are going slower than we are. I suspect they get a little butt-hurt over the whole deal and pull off of the street and get on the highway.

Joel and I still have a running bet over a case of beer who is faster, my truck or his Si. I know he has me now, but we will see when I get that compressor surge and MAP fooler installed.

I hate when people put fart cans and lower their 86 civic hatchback and think it's fast... And then annoyingly rev their motor, rattle their whole car with 250watts of bass, and cut in and out of traffic. When I finally get the chip I want, that smoke tune will be specifically for them

What annoys me is when the ricer with the fart can exhaust, and the boom-boom stereo is behind me, and I can't hear my radio. I have Innovative's Extreme Street tune. I smoke the ricer out from both sides of the truck because I also have dual exhaust. If they get too close I let them have it again. Keith
