01 Cummins (big mods)

I have a buddy who went and bought a 01 Dodge 2500 regular cab, long bed 4x4 with a bunch of mods. He said it had a performance ATI transmission and converter, Edge Juice w/attitude, Edge injectors, 6" exhaust, Banks High Rise intake manifold, and Cold Air intake.
He was telling me how he'd outrun some Mustangs and Camaro's along with other things. PLUS, he always badmouths 6.0 Fords.
SO
We raced.
1st race, I put in the Extreme Race tune on my SCT, put her in high, powerbraked the truck up as high as I could hold it and put at least 9-10 car lenghts on him. LOL

2nd race, I told him to put his in 4wd. ( I felt sorry for him) And we did it again. This time I beat him by 7-8 cars. HAHA

3rd race, He said he didn't have his programmer turned all the way up. This time I only got him by 5-6 car lengths. He was not happy!!!

A few days later he came by and said he wanted to try it again for $100. He put meth injection on it. SHould I do it??
He's just pissed that my new crew cab truck with so few mods put it on him.

I'd be careful - in my opinion it's all going to depend on how much meth he's running and if he has it tuned right. I haven't had mine on a dyno yet but the claims I've read are just over 100hp that he CAN pull in. Now to get THOSE kinds of gains I'd imagine he'd have to be heavy on the meth but for $100 and to save face he just might chance it. I know I notice a pretty sweet kick to mine when the meth starts shooting.

What you ought to do is tell him you'll do it for $500 in a couple weeks and put your own meth kit on - that way he would have paid for a majority of it.

That 01 should easily be smoked even with those mods if you've got an SCT tuned 6.0. It takes quite a bit to get those older 24valves quick versus the newer common rail trucks.

Some of the fastest diesels tho are 12v P-pummped Cummins so just cause their old don't mean their slow.

Yeah, I knew that. That's why I want a 12v one day. I was just giving him a little bit of the Cummins guy input, lol!
