1 test drive, 5 races

So me and my buddy were at his house doing the foil delete and hood insulation delete to my truck. After we got done we took a test drive to see how it would sound down his street. We'll we got there and we figure hey let's go to Sonic and grab something to drink. As I'm just about to get in the lane to turn into sonic is when the fun begins..

Race 1
My buddy shouts that another one of our buddies was driving down the road so I was frantically searching for him but then I got stuck at the light. Unbeknownst to be there was this Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to the right of me but it wasn't completely lined up with me. The light turn green and it took off like a bat out of hell, so I followed suit. It gained on me for a quarter of a second, once my turbo spooled (and I could hear it loud and clear ) it was an absolute goner! This was still in economy mode.WIN

Race 2
I then get to another light up ahead while my buddy riding shotgun called the other one to slow down so I could catch up. I looked to the left and again the blue jeep was there revving up! (Learned not to be in the right lane of a diesel haha) I was like dang, this guy is not giving up. The jeep finally pulls up next to me and it was 2 girls sitting in there laughing, playing around . I bump it up to 140 smoke mode and was preparing to boost launch when I started to burnout instead . Both of us kept creeping, boosting and revving until finally the light turned green and I was GONE! WIN

Race 3
Finally caught up to my buddy who has a 6.0 pretty lengthy list of mods done to it. I knew I didn't stand a chance but I thought it'd be fun just to run anyways. We both pull outta HEB and lined up going about 15 mph. Then he floors it and absolutely just KILLS me....It was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard though haha. LOSE

Race 4
As we were riding back to my friends house, he asked me if I wanted to run him. He has a 01 Cummins with aftermarket turbo, injectors, intercooler, smarty, quadzilla adrenaline. Anything you could do, he's probably done it. He really wanted to run my other bud with the 6.0 but he had to go. I told him I'll race but I know I'll lose. After he got his truck warmed up, we were rolling at about 15 mph. After 3 honks we both floored it! Surprisingly I pulled ahead of him!! Then we hit about 55-60, his turbo fully spooled and he passed me easily. I got a video of it on my phone but I put it on facebook so idk if y'all can see it.

Race 5
Buddy with the Cummins wanted to run again this time he upped his power level from 5 to 7 I believe. We both slowed to 15 mph and then punched it again! And again I pulled ahead of him till about 55-60 mph!! Basically the same results as last time. Couldn't get a video of this one though. I looked in the rear view mirror and I COULD NOT SEE THE STREET! lol.

Anyways, there's my story. Sorry it was so long. All this happened from one test drive to Sonic lol

man,that made my night just reading your post.so why did,nt you pull the girls over and tell them to jump in and really go for a RIDE?my tunes are getting re-flashed,so theres no tuner in right now.so NO HOT DOGGING FOR ME ,acoulpe more days.then see ya,do you have BFI,s and BIG OIL?dont think that truck should have past you,like it did,but then again,I dont no there trucks,KEEP ON SMOKING LATER, LOVED YOUR RACING THANKS.

Haha If I had known they were girls I would've rolled down the windows and gotten their numbers! But after all the racing was done I saw them turn into a shopping complex and stopped by afterwards to see if they were still there, no luck .

What are you getting your tunes reflashed for? I don't have injectors or oil, just tuner, intake and exhaust. I have lots more planned though...

People delete the foil off the turbo plumbing so they can hear it whine more

Not sure on the insulation. Never heard of a whole lot of people doing it. I just hope he doesnt toss his serpentine belt anytime soon, as that could wreak hell on his hood w/o protection

well I took the insulation off the hood,cause that belt you was just talking about,had it for dinner,one day and it looked like sh.. and didn't want that stuff in my turbo. sh.. it took about three hours to get it all cleaned up. that hood is going to be gone next year, I hope. GT500 hood or cervneys they got a bad .ss one too. I want to put a spout through my new hood ,for my turbo. dont know yet that hood is $$$ and if I put a 5" hole in it and changed my mind. HARD TO FIX
