OBS kills a first gen cummins

yesterday afternoon i was on my to my back to the farm and the road its on is very straight and we get a lot of kids raceing down it. But i saw a 97 f350 it had stacks and gauges that all i could see, the cummins how i have talk to before has guages, stacks, injectors, and chip. but the OBS beat him off the line and had about 4 lanks on him the hole way. Also after the left and the black smoke cleared the cop should up to the farm and ask if we saw 2 kids racing down the street, and i said nope.

I call BS as well, a first gen cummins doesnt have any place for a chip??????

Secondly a ford would probably out run the cummins but if they were hooked rear end to rear end well.....we know what would happen.

should be easy to tell if it was a first gen. truck it would be the old body style from the 80's - early 90's. Second gen was from 94-02 body style I think? Any cummins motor up until 1998.5 would be mechanical injection, no chips... The 24v was the first electronically controlled 5.9L.
