killed a for taurus....... literally

i was on the way home from work yesterday. It's been crazy at school lately so anyway i left early to spend a little time with the wife and dogs. back to the story. i was on the way home and the traffic on the freeway went from about 45 to 0 in a matter of seconds and a lady behind me couldn't get stopped and hit be from behind. lucky for me i had my trailor hitch in. it ended up just tweeking my bumper a little but i think it totaled her taurus. it messed all the body panels on the front of that car up and my hitch punched a hole through her bumper and radiator. the good thing was no one was hurt. it's a little frustrating when your new truck gets injured and you get out only to see two old ladies. i couldn't even act mad. i guess it made me feel better that she wouldn't do it again. at least not with that car.

Man that stinks.

I had a high school kid rear end me a couple years ago, when I had my hitch in...Lots of damage(to him). Come to think of it, I got rearended in my old 97 PSD at least three times, with no damage to my truck!

later

There's a new law here in PA where I work. Certain townships will fine you $25 if you leave your trailer hitch in if you are not towing anything.

That is ridiculous, that is the reason I leave my hitch on, and spontaneous trailering adventures and the occasional shin pain...
