Eagle Talon......

So a friend a mine has always been into the eclipse scene. Last year i was telling him about my truck that Iw as looking to buy and he said hed finally be able to smoke since he never could against my '73 stang. i told no way at least not after i get my chip. So anyway hes got Eagle Talon, not sure of the year but i know for a fact he's got a turbo off an Evo, aftermaket intake, full exhaust and his engine was rebuilt in January. So he had never initaiated anything since so i figured he didnt want to race anymore but often talked about his kills. So finally the other day he pulls up next to me at a light and revs. So i I ease into the accelrator just to see if i can beat out of the hole. Light goes green, and i chirp the tires a bit and im gone. I get up to about 85 and let off, i couldnt really tell how far back he was but it took him about 3 seconds to fly by with his can screaming. he always asks me if i have anything other than the bully dog. Mind u this was just few days after i totally annialited his brothers GS.

Nice kill.....was it an AWD Talon?

YEA! it was.

LOL, I saw him this sunday and he was telling me that he went and bought a bigger turbo but needs to be tuned and that hes going in today maybe. After that we'll see who comes out on top. LOL!

my buddy had a talon with a new turbo, injectors, fuel system and tuned to run off e85, he ran 11.80s and now has a new set up that destroys my buddys 05 viper

yea, at the light. I bought the truck used last year and have only invested in the chip till now, I really want guages so i dont mess anything up. So when i launch i dont even go into the acclerator hardly at all.

and no its 4X2.

id like to take it to the track cause ive killed a z28 on the highway once, ricers and even a cummins one time that for sure had exhaust and possibly chip cause he was blowing coal as I was.

Ive measured a quarter mile in a country road where i live and the one time i actually tested it out a bit was when i first got the chip. i let off a little before i got the marker and glanced at the speedo and saw it around 97 mph. I used it before with the stang but never went that fast in the stang cause he steering was ALL jacked up and i dont wanna die.

Im eager to see what his new turbo is gonna do becuse he said the tuner claims he can get into the mid 12's with the new turbo and tunage. Ive heard the AWD talons can pack a punch.

But i still have plenty planned for the truck, trouble is no mulah! LOL!

What kind of truck do you have? With a bullydog programmer? No 4x4 launch and you got 97 in the quarter? That's nuts!

I wish I had your traction. Off idle I roast the tires. At the track, anything higher than 2-3psi boost, I will break loose and the rear end starts bouncing when I launch.

And I say launch in the loosest way possible. It's more of a roll and hit the throttle when I think she won't go bat $hit.
